For a Greener Tomorrow

Periodically we ask Nuvera’s employees what they do to promote a greener tomorrow…besides working at a fuel cell company!

When the train doesn’t stop at Fenway, instead of flagging a cab I hire a rickshaw for a ride to the park!

For a Greener Tomorrow

What do you do to promote a greener tomorrow?

I car pool two days a week with a colleague. He is a development engineer and I work in the Finance Department. I enjoy those conversations because we share viewpoints on alternative energy. Like many difficult issues, it requires the willingness to join together with others and establish trust and mutual dependence. Car pooling is green not only for the obvious reasons but also because it provides an opportunity for dialogue between colleagues pursuing the same goal from different angles.

For a Greener Tomorrow…

What do you do to promote a greener tomorrow?

I recycle as much as possible, compost what I can, use fluorescent light bulbs, consume less water, use my motorcycle, bicycle, public transportation or walk as much as possible, buy local food and talk about what can be done with friends and family.
Jamie Hannon, Supplier Development Engineer

For my 12.5 mile commute to work, I bicycle, run, carpool and have a desire to unicycle. I drive a diesel car that gets 40-45 mpg, I heat my house with wood, eat as much locally grown food as possible, compost all organic waste and of course: recycle, recycle, recycle! I also take my family on a lot of outdoor adventures so we appreciate what we are trying to conserve: hiking, camping, beaching, surfing and swimming.
