Pininfarina Brings their Award Winning Design to the Fuel Cell
March 4th, 2008
Pininfarina, the famed Italian automotive designer, revealed its latest concept car at the Geneva Motor Show today. The revolutionary new car is called the Sintesi, and it features Nuvera’s new Quadrivium drive, which combines the high efficiency of fuel cells with the ability to operate on both conventional and biofuels.
When Pininfarina approached us with the ambitious challenge of making a high performance power train using ecologically benign technology, Nuvera engineers changed direction away from conventional technologies and embraced a radical new fuel cell concept. The result was four distributed wheel power modules, which allowed the car itself to be designed around the passengers, rather than the power train.

Finally, a fuel cell concept car that seems to have the performance of a car we would actually like to drive. This car not only looks good, it looks fast too. What kind of mileage and range does it get?

HydroWhen-the Sintesi can get 47 MPG combined city/highway, with a range of about 500 miles.

This car is totally looks and feels like the generation of the future, what an awesome idea to put a Fuel Cell on board as it only compliments that future intent. I can’t wait to see it on the road in the near future!
