Nuvera is a Smithsonian Small Screen Star

January 25th, 2010

As you may remember from a few years back, one of Nuvera’s Forza high power fuel cell systems was installed at an Easy Wash car wash in Vancouver, BC, in a co-generation application providing both electricity and hot water to the site.  The Smithsonian Channel, which features content largely inspired by the Smithsonian Institution’s rich resources, featured a program on the US’s maxed out grid and the alternative energy solutions that are on track to prevent breakdowns in the future.  The IWHUP project, including the Nuvera fuel cell-powered car wash, were featured prominently on the program, with organizers discussing the varied benefits of fuel cells as power sources.
