As a privately held company, Nuvera relies on the strategic guidance, support, and financing of its three shareholders: Hess Corporation, Gruppo De Nora and Renault.

Hess Corporation
Hess is a global, integrated energy company engaged in the exploration for, and the production, purchase, transportation, and sale of, crude oil and natural gas, as well as the production and sale of refined petroleum products. Its exploration and production operations are conducted primarily in the United States, United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Brazil, Gabon, Azerbaijan, Thailand, and Indonesia. Crude oil is refined through a joint venture refinery in the United States Virgin Islands. Gasoline and other petroleum products, natural gas, and electricity are marketed on the East Coast of the United States.

Gruppo De Nora
Gruppo De Nora was originally established (as Oronzio De Nora Impianti Elettrochimici SpA) in 1923 by Mr. Oronzio de Nora to design, manufacture, and install electrochemical plants, electrolyzers, and electrodes. Today, Gruppo De Nora is a world leader in the manufacture of electrolytic cells with extensive proprietary know-how in the electrochemical industry, including advanced coatings and support material for titanium electrodes DSA® and a variety of electrodes for metal electrogalvanizing and anodes for cathodic protection by impressed current. The company also specializes in the engineering, procurement, and construction of complete plants for the electrochemical and electrometallurgical industries. Gruppo De Nora presently operates through eight companies strategically located in Europe, Asia, and the United States and is the largest worldwide supplier of Dimensionally Stable Anodes for the chlor-alkali industries.
