Tom Holmes is head of Nuvera's Customer Care department, encompassing Field Service, Installation Engineering, Warranty Administration, Customer Training and Data Management.
Prior to joining Nuvera, Tom was the Process Engineering Manager for Corning NetOptix, a world-leading manufacturer of thin-film optical filters for telecommunication networks. Tom effectively used his Six Sigma background to establish data collection methods, identify sources of process variability, utilize designed experiments to optimize process parameters, and implement statistical process control methods.
Tom was also the Pilot Line Manager for Saint Gobain's SmartWafer product line for use in semiconductor applications where he successfully led the development effort from concept to manufacturing and achieved Saint Gobain's Gold standard of $1MM in sales within 12 months of the product launch.
Tom has earned two Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. His leadership and project management skills were refined through 14 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserve, culminating in his roles as an Infantry Company Commander and a Battalion Logistics Officer.
