Nuvera Fuel Cells Gains ISO Certification
Achievement marks firm's commitment to guarantee
maximum quality standards of its goods and services to customers
Milan / Cambridge, Mass., September 24, 2002 Nuvera
Fuel Cells today announced that its European subsidiary, Nuvera Fuel
Cells Europe SrL, has been recognized by the International Organization
for Standardization (ISO) for its high-quality operations in "research
and development, design, fabrication, and servicing of fuel cell stacks."
The company was certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 for its
commitment to quality management systems by ICIM, an ISO-approved
organization based in Milan, Italy. UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000 (also called
"Vision 2000") represents the newest ISO-approved industry
standard.
The achievement marks a major milestone for both Nuvera and the fuel
cell industry to guarantee high-quality standards in the delivery
of goods and services to customers. Quality assurance certification
is the process through which qualified independent third parties (such
as ICIM) validate that a company's quality assurance system complies
with the provisions of the relevant standards.
"We are very proud of this accomplishment as it represents our
ability to meet the industry's toughest quality standards to
date," said Alessandro Delfrate, Sales Manager of Nuvera Fuel
Cells Europe. "Our goal is to ensure complete customer satisfaction
in every phase of our operation, from analyzing and understanding
their needs, to purchasing materials, to our engineering, manufacturing,
and testing processes and post-sales assistance."
