Congresswoman Niki Tsongas and Senator John Kerry toured Nuvera Fuel Cells’ 111,000 square foot Billerica headquarters on Friday, January 25, 2008

BILLERICA, MASS., January 29, 2008 – Congresswoman Niki Tsongas (D-MA) and Senator John Kerry (D-MA) toured Nuvera Fuel Cells’ 111,000 square foot Billerica headquarters, including 56,000 square feet in state-of-the-art manufacturing lab space, on Friday, January 25. The Company’s officers gave Senator Kerry and Congresswoman Tsongas an overview of Nuvera’s three near term products, PowerFlow™, PowerTap™ and Forza™; longer term products with potential use for military and tractor trailer applications; and their partner, East Penn Manufacturing’s product, ReadyPower™, for the forklift market.

Bill Mitchell, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nuvera Fuel Cells, remarked, “As the leading PEM fuel cell company in the Commonwealth, we wanted to show Senator Kerry and Congresswoman Tsongas that we are not only committed to near term commercialization of 3 products, but also to building a long term relationship with Billerica and Massachusetts, and to bringing manufacturing jobs back to the area.”

Senator Kerry and Congresswoman Tsongas addressed Nuvera’s employees, speaking of their collective support of fuel cell commercialization activities and of Nuvera as a driving force in Massachusetts’ alternative energy development.
