In the traditional energy supply paradigm, fuel is burned at a central power plant and sent to users over wires. In most industrialized countries, the overall efficiency averages 32-35 percent (HHV) by the time electricity reaches the customer. This is due in part because a significant amount of heat is generated at the central power plant, but there is no feasible way to transmit it over long distances.
In response to this challenge, Nuvera has developed Forza and Avanti, two unique fuel cell systems that can generate power on-site - where you need it.
Forza is Nuvera's product family of large-scale hydrogen systems, ideal for use in cases where excess hydrogen is vented, as in the chlor-alkali industry.
Avanti - a fuel cell combined heat and power system that addresses the shift from large-scale centralized power generation to small-scale distributed generation.
