Jon Taylor

President and Chief Executive Officer

Jon became President and Chief Executive Officer of Nuvera Fuel Cells in April 2015. Prior to Nuvera, he served as Director Corporate Strategy, Financial Planning and Analysis at Hyster-Yale Group since 2008. Jon also serves on the Board of Directors for the Company’s joint venture in Japan, Sumitomo-NACCO Material Handling Group. From 1993 to 2008, he served in various accounting, finance and marketing roles at Hyster-Yale Group in both the Corporate and European Headquarters. Jon earned a B.S. in Business Finance from the University of Utah and an MBA in International Business from the University of Washington. He also completed international study programs at Cambridge University and the Cranfield Institute of Technology in the U.K. He has represented Hyster-Yale on the Industry Trade Advisory Committee for Automotive Equipment and Capital Goods, and is a former member of the Pacific Northwest International Trade Association. Jon is a longtime volunteer classroom teacher for Junior Achievement.

Scott Blanchet

Chief Development Officer

Scott currently serves as Chief Development Officer with responsibility for Nuvera’s technology and product platforms. He became Nuvera’s Vice President of Product Management in February 2015 and served as Nuvera’s Vice President of Technology Development leading up to the acquisition by Hyster-Yale in December, 2014. Prior to the acquisition, Scott was responsible for developing core technologies for generating, delivering and converting hydrogen into electricity for mobility applications. In his present role, Scott will focus on establishing long-term product family roadmaps and developing the necessary platform architectures to achieve the company’s vision for leadership in the hydrogen energy industry. From 1994 to 2004 Scott held various technical and leadership positions at FuelCell Energy in Danbury, Connecticut and General Motors Corporation in Flint, Michigan. Scott’s personal mission is to make an enduring contribution to human society and our environment by delivering exceptional solutions to major energy problems. He’s been awarded 20 U.S. patents related to emissions control and hydrogen technologies. Scott holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami.

Warren Brower

Chief Sales & Marketing Officer

Warren currently serves at Chief Sales and Marketing Officer responsible for all customer facing activity and support. He joined Nuvera in January 2016 as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Over the past 16 years his career has focused on the materials handling industry. At Raymond Corporation, Warren held positions with national accounts, product management, and marketing. In 2012, as part of a European joint venture with industrial gas supplier Air Liquide, Warren helped to successfully establish the company HyPulsion which was focused on the commercialization, sale, and deployment of fuel cell power systems and hydrogen delivery and dispensing equipment to materials handling customers in Europe. In 2007, as product marketing and sales director with Plug Power, Warren began commercializing emerging fuel cell technology within large, high-volume lift truck application segments.

Wim Van Dam

Chief Operations Officer

Wim leads the product & manufacturing engineering, lab facilities, supply chain and manufacturing teams. Wim joined Nuvera in 2016 directly from the Hyster-Yale Group (HYG), where he served as plant manager in Greenville NC, at HYG’s highest volume manufacturing facility worldwide. Prior to that, Wim was plant manager for Nijmegen in the Netherlands, where HYG’s Hyster range of Big Trucks and Container Handlers are designed and manufactured for global distribution. The strong leadership and change management skills Wim has demonstrated at both of these facilities, brings critical, high-volume industrial production experience to Nuvera. Before joining HYG in 2008 he worked in various senior leadership roles in the automotive and cargo trailer industries, both in UK and the Netherlands. Wim is a Dutch national, and has a degree in Automotive Engineering from HAN University Arnhem, Netherlands.

Darwin Scussel

Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Darwin oversees finance and administrative services groups, including finance, information technology (IT), human resources, facilities and legal functions. Darwin previously worked as the financial and IT director at Hyster-Yale Brasil Empilhadeiras Ltda, where he played a key role in related management to help move operations to new manufacturing facilities, begin manufacture of new products, open new offices, and implement SAP. Prior to Hyster-Yale, Darwin worked at Whirlpool SA for five years. There, he was responsible as Latin America financial planning senior manager for Whirlpool’s Latin America operations, including strategic target definitions, regional financial consolidation, KPI analysis and local and global senior leadership support. Darwin brings his Hyster-Yale insight, as well as extensive knowledge in accounting, finance, planning, people and processes in support of Nuvera’s continued growth.
