David LeBlanc, President, Energy Solutions

As 2025 comes to a close, all of us from the Hyster-Yale Nuvera® team want to extend our warmest holiday wishes to our partners, customers, and the broader zero-emission power community. The season always offers a moment to pause to recognize the people and purpose that drive our work every day.

A Year of Real Progress

2025 brought significant challenges, but these headwinds tested the entire zero-emission ecosystem—and sharpened its focus while accelerating innovation. The path to electrification is clear, and demand continues to grow. Rather than slowing down, we turned these challenges into catalysts and opportunities to strengthen our strategy and deliver meaningful progress.

Across a wide range of industries, fleet operators face the growing realities of grid congestion, electrification bottlenecks, and the operational limits of conventional charging. At the same time, demand for clean, reliable mobility solutions reached an all-time high.

HydroCharge™, our mobile, hydrogen-powered DC fast charger and AC genset, proved to be an immediate breakthrough in real-world operations, delivering flexibility where traditional infrastructure falls short. It is now poised to play a pivotal role in accelerating the transition to zero-emission fleets.

For us, 2025 was defined by:

  • Demonstrating the value of hydrogen power in real-world applications. From logistics hubs to ports to international proving grounds, Nuvera-powered equipment demonstrated reliability, resilience, and performance that operators and managers can count on.
  • Expanding access to zero-emission energy. Whether through our EN-series fuel cell engines or mobile solutions like HydroCharge, we made it easier for customers to access zero-emission off-grid power without waiting for infrastructure build-out or utility upgrades.
  • Building partnerships that accelerate adoption. We collaborate with hydrogen suppliers, OEMs, system integrators, infrastructure developers, municipalities, and industry associations such as Clean Cities to expand the hydrogen network and create practical pathways for electrification adoption. By aligning expertise and resources, we help close critical gaps in fueling, logistics, and integration—making zero-emission solutions achievable today.

These aren’t isolated wins. They are signals of real momentum. And they happen because of a community dedicated to solving the toughest energy challenges with innovation and grit.

Looking Ahead to 2026

If 2025 was about proving what’s possible, 2026 will be about building momentum—together.

The coming year will bring new opportunities but also challenges we must overcome as an industry. Creating hydrogen offtake remains critical to driving investment in supply. Combined with existing incentives and growing urgency from fleets and municipalities, these factors will push progress forward, but success will require persistence and partnership.

HydroCharge is made for these challenges. As we continue to solve the chicken-and-egg riddle of hydrogen access, we see a marketplace that’s maturing quickly and an innovation purpose-built to meet the moment.

At Nuvera, our focus remains steady: deliver solutions that make emission-free power practical, dependable, and accessible—today and in the years to come. From new products and expanded partnership to continued field deployments, we’re committed to helping operators move forward with confidence.

Gratitude and a Bright Future

To everyone who worked with us this year: thank you.

Thank you for pushing boundaries, for asking tough questions, and for believing in the future we’re building together. This industry moves forward because of bold thinkers, hardworking teams, and shared commitment to a cleaner world.

We wish you all a joyful, restful holiday season, and an energizing start to the new year. Here’s to the opportunities ahead, the challenges we’ll solve together, and a 2026 powered by progress.
