HydroCharge™ Incentives
Make Clean, Mobile Power More Affordable
Reduce the Cost of Clean, Mobile Power with Available Incentives

HydroCharge™ Incentives
Federal and State Incentive Programs for HydroCharge
Nuvera HydroCharge™ may qualify for a range of state and federal incentives that can significantly reduce the upfront cost of clean, mobile power. Available programs include point-of-sale vouchers, grants, and federal tax credits designed to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission equipment and off-grid clean energy solutions.
HydroCharge is now approved for a $260,000 per-unit voucher through California’s CORE program and $260,000 per-unit funding through Washington’s WAZIP program, with additional opportunities available through WAIRE, Carl Moyer, and the federal 48E Clean Electricity Investment Credit depending on location, use case, ownership structure, and project eligibility.
Incentive Programs
Available Funding Opportunities for HydroCharge™
The following programs may help reduce the cost of HydroCharge depending on geography, application, and eligibility.
CORE — California Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project
HydroCharge HC50C is officially CORE-approved and eligible for a base voucher of $260,000 per unit. If awarded, customers may pay as low as $40,000 per unit before applying additional stackable incentives.
CORE is administered by the California Air Resources Board and provides point-of-sale voucher incentives to help fleets replace diesel off-road equipment with zero-emission technologies.
Benefit:
Reduce upfront capital expense while deploying clean, mobile power for off-road and industrial applications.
WAZIP — Washington Zero-Emission Incentive Program
HydroCharge is approved for $260,000 per-unit funding through WAZIP. If awarded, customers may pay as low as $40,000 per unit before applying additional stackable incentives.
The Washington Zero-Emission Incentive Program helps businesses and commercial fleets save money when buying or leasing cleaner vehicles and equipment. WAZIP is funded by Washington’s Climate Commitment Act, managed by the Washington State Department of Transportation, and administered by CALSTART.
Benefit:
Point-of-sale savings for eligible Washington fleets and businesses moving to zero-emission equipment.
Federal 48E Clean Electricity Investment Credit
HydroCharge may also qualify for the 30% Investment Tax Credit under Section 48E, depending on project structure and compliance. The credit may be applied against federal tax liability or transferred once to a third party, subject to eligibility and IRS requirements.
Benefit:
A federal tax credit that may be stackable with certain state programs and can further reduce net project cost.
Important:
Tax credit eligibility and benefits depend on ownership structure, compliance, and documentation. Customers should consult a qualified tax advisor.
WAIRE and Carl Moyer Funding
Additional incentive pathways may be available through programs such as WAIRE and Carl Moyer. Depending on the application, these programs may provide meaningful cost reductions for eligible zero-emission equipment and infrastructure projects.
Benefit:
Funding support for qualifying fleet, off-road, infrastructure, and emissions-reduction projects.

POWERING THE TRANSITION
TURNING OPPORTUNITIES INTO ACCELERATED ADOPTION
Organizations across logistics, fleet operations, ports, construction, events, municipalities, and industrial sites are actively transitioning to lower-emission solutions while keeping operations running efficiently. However, adoption can be constrained by:
- High upfront equipment costs
- Long utility upgrade timelines
- Permitting and infrastructure delays
- Diesel fuel volatility
- Noise and emissions restrictions
- Complex regulation requirements
Available incentives and funding programs can significantly reduce upfront costs and improve project economics. By leveraging these opportunities, HydroCharge™ delivers clean, portable power that is increasingly cost‑competitive with traditional diesel—helping organizations move forward with confidence.
Find Out Which Incentives may Apply to Your Operation
HydroCharge can help organizations deploy clean, mobile power with substantially reduced upfront costs. Nuvera can help you evaluate available state and federal programs and determine the best funding path for your application.
